More than just cheese cuisine at ‘Le Fiacre’｜チーズ料理以外もお試しあれ「ル・フィアクル」

The specialty of the Haute Savoie region is cheese. It’s very delicious, but you can easily end up eating cheese for breakfast, lunch and dinner! For tonight’s dinner I chose a restaurant called Le Fiacre. It means horse-drawn carriage in English. After we sat down, customers kept coming in and the place was full in no time.

In need of a break from cheese, we ordered the local trout and chickpea curry.  I chose rice as a side dish. It paired well with the local white wine, and we had crème brûlée to finish. It was a very satisfying meal!

Most of the customers were ordering raclette and fondue, so the cheese dishes here seemed to be the best apres ski! As it’s such a popular restaurant, I would recommend making a reservation for dinner time.

オートサヴォア地方と呼ばれるこの地域の名物はなんと言ってもチーズ。とても美味しいので、あまり考えずに食べたい物を選ぶと、朝昼晩と全てチーズ料理ということにも。少し違った味のものをということで選んだレストランがこちら、Ｌｅ Ｆｉａｃｒｅ。日本語では辻馬車という意味のようです。自分達が席に着いた後も続々とお客が入ってきて、あっという間に満席になりました。

頼んだ料理は、地場産の鱒と雛（ひよこ）豆のカレー。付け合わせにはご飯を選びました。同じく地場産の白ワインによく合う料理で、デザートのクリームブリュレも濃厚な味で大満足。

お客の殆どはラクレットやフォンデュを頼んでいたので、やはりチーズ料理はアプレスキーに不可欠のようです。人気店のようなので、夕食の時間帯は予約しておくことをお勧めします。
