Review: Grand Magic Hotel – A Convenient Stay Near Disneyland Paris

It had been six months since my last visit to Disneyland Paris, and this time I travelled with my niece to experience the brand-new Frozen attraction, which opened at the end of March this year.

For this trip, we stayed at Grand Magic Hotel, one of the official Disneyland Paris Partner Hotels. Located around 10 minutes from the parks by the complimentary shuttle bus, it offers a convenient and family-friendly base for visiting Disneyland Paris.

On my previous visit (December 2025), I stayed at Hotel Dali Val d’Europe Tapestry Collection by Hilton, which I also enjoyed very much. However, after comparing a number of options, I found that booking flights and accommodation together through BA Holidays offered the best overall value for this trip.

Whether you’re travelling from Japan or from elsewhere in Europe, including London, I hope this review will help you plan your own Disneyland Paris holiday.

In particular, I’ve included practical information on how to reach the hotel, including my experience of using a shared airport shuttle from Charles de Gaulle Airport. As there isn’t much first-hand information available online, I hope you’ll find it useful.

Getting to Grand Magic Hotel – From Charles de Gaulle Airport & Central Paris

From Charles de Gaulle Airport

Although I usually travel from London to Paris by Eurostar, this time I decided to fly instead. My flight departed from London Heathrow just before 7:00 pm and was scheduled to arrive at Charles de Gaulle Airport shortly after 9:00 pm. As France is one hour ahead of the UK, arrivals always seem much later than they actually are.

As I explained in my previous article, the TGV is by far the quickest and most convenient way to travel from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Disneyland Paris. However, after checking the timetable, I realised that the last train of the day had already departed.

So, instead, I decided to try a fixed-price shared airport shuttle, which would take us directly from the airport to our hotel.

The journey took around 40 minutes, which is a little longer than travelling by TGV. However, because it is a door-to-door service, the overall journey time is probably quite similar in practice.

Another advantage is that the TGV only takes you as far as Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy Station, the station serving Disneyland Paris. From there, you still need to take either a taxi or a bus to reach your hotel.

A Shared Airport Shuttle Takes You Directly to the Hotel

This was my first time using a shared airport shuttle, and I was pleasantly surprised. Not having to carry our luggage between different forms of transport made the journey much easier, and overall I felt it was the right choice.

The company I used was Ozeroute, which I found through an online search. They operate scheduled shared shuttle services between Charles de Gaulle Airport and Disneyland Paris, as well as private transfers.

The cheapest option is the Economy Shuttle, which starts from €36 for two people (€18 per person). However, this service only takes you to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy Station, not directly to your hotel.

If you would like to be dropped off at your hotel, choose the Premium Shuttle instead. Our fare was €42 for two people (€21 per person), and the service took us directly to the entrance of the hotel. Please note that fares may vary depending on the date and availability, so it’s worth checking the latest price when booking.

From Central Paris

If you’re arriving at Gare du Nord by Eurostar, the easiest way to reach Grand Magic Hotel from central Paris is by taking the RER and then either a bus or a taxi.

The nearest station to Disneyland Paris is Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy, which is the eastern terminus of RER Line A. From there, you can either take the free hotel shuttle bus or a taxi to Grand Magic Hotel.

Free Hotel Shuttle Bus

A complimentary shuttle bus operates between Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy Station and Grand Magic Hotel, making it an easy and cost-effective way to reach the hotel.

However, do bear in mind that the shuttle can become very crowded, especially in the evening when many guests are returning from Disneyland Paris.

It is also possible to reach the hotel using the RATP public bus network. However, as the nearest bus stop is a short walk from the hotel, I would recommend taking a taxi instead if you have heavy luggage or if the hotel shuttle is full.

Book Flights & Hotels Together | Earn More Points with BA Holidays

Although Grand Magic Hotel is located a little outside the Disneyland Paris resort, a complimentary shuttle bus runs between the hotel and the parks, with a journey time of around 10 minutes. This makes it a convenient option without having to pay the premium for staying within the resort itself.

Another reason I chose Grand Magic Hotel was that it was available as part of a BA Holidays package.

BA Holidays is the holiday company owned by British Airways, offering flight and hotel packages. As bookings earn British Airways Club Avios and contribute towards Tier Points, I often find it one of the most rewarding ways to book my trips.

(Note)

Grand Magic Hotel is located alongside Dream Castle Hotel and Explorers Hotel, both of which are also operated by Fabulous Hotels Group.
The complimentary shuttle bus between Disneyland Paris and Grand Magic Hotel also stops at these hotels, so their convenience and accessibility appear to be very similar.

Getting to the Parks from Grand Magic Hotel – Free Shuttle Bus

A complimentary shuttle bus runs frequently between Grand Magic Hotel and Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy Station, the main transport hub for Disneyland Paris.

The shuttle can fill up quickly during busy periods. We used it both in the morning on our way to the parks and in the evening after the parade. The return journey was particularly crowded, so families travelling with young children may want to allow a little extra time.

The shuttle stops at the bus terminal outside Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy Station. From there, simply follow the signs and walk towards the park entrances.

Like Tokyo Disney Resort, Disneyland Paris has two theme parks: Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World. Before entering either park, you’ll first need to go through the central security screening area.

After passing through security, turn right for Disneyland Park, or continue straight ahead for Disney Adventure World.

Our main reason for visiting was the brand-new Frozen area, so we headed straight into Disney Adventure World.。

Inside Grand Magic Hotel | An Immersive Experience

Disneyland Paris partner hotels are known for their distinctive themes, and for many guests, the hotel itself is part of the experience.

While the guest rooms are important, one area you shouldn’t miss is the spectacular space leading to the breakfast restaurant. After arriving late at night and feeling rather tired from the journey, seeing the immersive digital displays instantly lifted my spirits.

Grand Magic Hotel underwent a major refurbishment in 2022, introducing its “immersive hotel” concept.

Throughout the space, enchanting digital projections transform over time, featuring forests, flower meadows, underwater worlds and star-filled skies. Even after a day at Disneyland Paris, the magical atmosphere continues, making you feel as though you’ve stepped into another story. It’s one of the features that makes Grand Magic Hotel stand out from many other nearby hotels.

Guest Rooms – Family Rooms Are Perfect for Families

We were allocated a Family Room, which featured one double bed and a set of bunk beds for children, allowing up to four guests to stay in the same room. It’s an ideal option for families with young children, as everyone can sleep together without needing to book a second room.

As there were only two of us travelling, a Double Room would have been perfectly adequate. I’m not sure whether BA Holidays automatically allocated us a Family Room, but both room types appear to offer the same floor area of 25 m².

For larger groups, the hotel also offers Family Connecting Rooms, which can accommodate up to eight guests by combining two interconnecting Family Rooms.

In addition, Suite Rooms and Accessible Rooms are available, so it’s worth choosing the room type that best suits your group size and budget.

France experienced an exceptionally hot summer in 2026, with a prolonged heatwave affecting much of the country. During our stay, daytime temperatures reached almost 35°C. Fortunately, the hotel’s air conditioning worked extremely well. Even after turning off the air conditioning in our room before going to bed, the room remained comfortably cool throughout the night, perhaps because the hotel’s central air circulation kept the indoor temperature pleasantly low.

As a small aside, I found the hairdryer provided in the room to be rather underpowered. It took more than three times as long as usual to dry my hair.

It’s possible that the settings vary from room to room, but if a powerful hairdryer is important to you, I’d recommend checking it when you first arrive. If necessary, you could always ask reception whether an alternative is available.

Breakfast – Buffet-Style Dining

As you might expect from a Disneyland Paris partner hotel, there were plenty of families with young children, giving the breakfast restaurant a lively and energetic atmosphere.

Since almost everyone is heading to the parks, breakfast can become particularly busy around park opening time. If you prefer a quieter start to the day, I’d recommend arriving a little earlier.

Being in France, the pastries certainly didn’t disappoint. Although the croissants and Danish pastries were simply laid out on the buffet, they were genuinely excellent.

As we visited during an exceptionally hot spell, I wasn’t in the mood for a heavy breakfast. I was therefore pleased to find a good selection of fresh salads and vegetables, making it easy to enjoy a lighter meal before heading to the parks.

Useful Tips – Why Choose a Disneyland Paris Partner Hotel?

Disneyland Paris Hotels are located close to the parks and offer benefits such as Extra Magic Time, which allows hotel guests to enter the parks before the official opening time. These advantages make it easier to enjoy as much time as possible at Disneyland Paris, although room rates can be considerably higher.

For those who would like to keep accommodation costs down while still enjoying a Disney holiday atmosphere, the Partner Hotels are also worth considering. Many offer complimentary shuttle buses to the parks, making it relatively easy to travel between the hotel and Disneyland Paris.

Final Thoughts – Is Grand Magic Hotel Worth It?

This blog mainly focuses on reviews of Hilton properties. However, because so many readers search for information about Disneyland Paris, I decided to make an exception and share my experience of staying at Grand Magic Hotel.

Although the hotel is no longer an official Disneyland Paris Partner Hotel, complimentary shuttle buses still run frequently between the hotel and the parks, making it a convenient place to stay.

The family-friendly rooms are well suited to guests travelling with young children, and the breakfast exceeded my expectations. Combined with the hotel’s immersive atmosphere, it made for a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

If you’re planning a trip to Disneyland Paris, I hope this review helps you choose the hotel that’s right for you.
