Review: Hilton Paris Opera (2024)

A new year has begun. What aspirations have you set?

When in the area aims to maintain Diamond membership this year as well. I have plans to revisit places where I’ve stayed before and liked them, but there are also some new hotels I’d like to try. Please look forward to reading about those on my blog.

Well, my first Hilton stay in 2024 was at the Hilton Paris Opera, just like last year. The reason why I go out of my way to visit Paris during the coldest time of the year is to enjoy the winter sales. It usually starts on the second Wednesday of the new year, and each time there are amazing discounts to tempt shoppers.

I always visit the two grand department stores in Paris: Galeries Lafayette and Printemps. Department stores are convenient because you can easily follow the latest trends of multiple brands, and you can also complete tax exemption procedures all at once.

I like that these two stores are close to the Hilton, and if I buy too much I can take it back to the hotel right away.

Once you get back to the hotel, the cold weather and crowds can make it difficult to go out for dinner. In that case, there is cocktail time in the hotel lounge to enjoy! I was able to drink some alcohol and had a satisfying meal. When my hunger was satisfied, I felt sleepy even though it was still before 9pm. As I woke up early to take the first Eurostar of the day, I decided just to relax at the hotel tonight.

Useful information

RER E: For the Eurostar travellers, the easiest way to get to Hilton Paris Opera is taking RER E from Magenta station to Haussmann Saint-Lazare Station. Magenta station is well connected with Gare du Nord.
