Landing at Geneva Airport with a view of Lake Geneva｜レマン湖を眺めながら着陸 ジュネーブ空港

After checking in at City airport, we waited for the boarding time while eating breakfast in the departure area. The day before, when I told them that we would be checking out early in the morning, the staff at the DoubleTree gave us croissants, fruit, and juice to take away.
The plane descended towards Geneva Airport, circling slowly over Lake Geneva with its clear blue water. After landing, just walking through the brand new terminal, which was expanded in 2022, I could already feel the freshness of Switzerland.
Regarding the design of the new terminal, I later found out that Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners (RSHP) was involved. I am convinced that it is for that reason that I thought it was somewhat similar to Madrid Barajas Airport in Spain!
シティ空港で無事チェックインを済ませた後は、待合室で、朝ご飯を食べながら搭乗時間を待ちます。前日に、早朝チェックアウトと伝えたところ、ダブルツリーホテルの方がクロワッサンと果物、それにジュースを持たせてくださいました。
碧く透き通った水が美しいレマン湖の上をゆっくりと旋回しながら、飛行機はジュネーブ空港に着陸しました。２０２２年に拡張されたばかりの真新しいターミナルを歩いているだけで、すでにスイスらしい清々しさが感じられます。
新ターミナルの設計ですが、後で調べたところ、ロジャース・スターク・ハーバー・アンド・パートナーズ（ＲＳＨＰ）も参画していたということが分かりました。どことなく、スペインのマドリッド・バラハス空港にも似ているなと思ったのは、その為だったのかと納得です。
