Cafe bar ‘Luce’ is also a must-see in Fondazione Prada

I visited the Fondazione Prada, which I missed last time as my previous stay in Milan was too short. From Hilton Milan, you can take subway line 3 to the nearest station, Lodi TIBB, without changing trains.

At the special exhibition “Folding Screens from the 17th to 21st Centuries”, we looked at various folding screens from all over the world, and then took a break at the museum’s cafe “Bar Luce”.

The atmosphere is similar to Marchesi, which I stopped by during my previous stay in Milan. There are dozens of types of panini alone, and at first glance I was confused which one to choose, but apparently the easiest way to choose is to first decide on the type of ham. I took the opportunity to order a cocktail as well. Your eyes will be drawn to the bartender’s skillful handling of the drinks. The lemon sprinkled on to finish gave a refreshing top note.

At the Torre, works by famous contemporary artists are displayed on each floor, spaced well apart from each other to give visitors the chance to appreciate and digest each work before moving on to the next. I took the elevator to the top floor and descended by stairs to view the collection. The vertical movement itself was interesting, and the view of Milan made such an impression that it was worth the wait.

2015 was the year when not only the Fondazione Prada opened but also the Expo Milano was held, and it seems certain that the city of Milan has become more and more interesting since both opportunities.
