Review: Hilton London Canary Wharf
In December, I get pretty busy with Christmas parties at work, plans to meet up with close friends one last time in the year, and Christmas shopping on top of that. For when in the area, it is also a busy time to ensure enough Hilton stays to maintain Diamond membership for next year.
That’s why I decided to go to Milan for this weekend trip in December. I booked an early morning flight on Saturday from London City Airport, so I stayed at a hotel near the airport the night before. When I took an early morning flight to Geneva in July, I stayed at the DoubleTree, but this time I decided to stay at the Hilton London Canary Wharf for the first time.

Access
From Heathrow Airport, you can take Elizabeth Line directly to Canary Wharf station. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to the hotel. Please note that the Jubilee line station at Canary Wharf is the a different building.
After finishing work on time, I headed to Canary Wharf Jubilee line station, and from there it was a short walk to the hotel. However, you will need to cross a pedestrian bridge over a canal, which can be a bit difficult if you have large luggage.
Check-in and Executive Lounge
At check-in, I received a glass of prosecco just like I did at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
After checking in, I immediately went to the lounge. Let’s toast with wine after a hard week! The lounge here also serves small dishes that go well with alcohol, but there is also a restaurant if you fancy something more to eat.
Room
The skyscrapers you can see from your room remind you that you are in Canary Wharf, the financial district. The next morning, when I checked out, I told them I was leaving early, so they prepared pastries and fruit to takeaway for breakfast.
