Access
There are several ways to get to Gatwick Airport, but here we will explain how to get there by train.
The Hilton Gatwick Airport is really useful when taking an early morning flight from Gatwick Airport, located south of London, as well as a convenient place to explore East Sussex from. This time, I planned to use this as my base and visit nearby cities over the weekend. After work on Friday, I headed to London Bridge station on the Thameslink line. I moved to Gatwick Airport station among the commuters, and after walking around the airport for a while, I arrived at the Hilton.

1-1. Gatwick Express
Direct service without changing trains. There are no stops along the way, but please note that the final destination is Brighton, so if you miss getting off at the airport, you will end up going all the way to Brighton.

You can also go directly to the airport from major stations in London, such as St. Pancras and London Bridge. Check-in and executive lounge
After checking in and leaving my luggage in the room, I quickly headed to the lounge. I was able to make it for cocktail time, and I chose alcohol and light snacks. Cheers to the start of a weekend trip!
Room
I believe the last time I stayed at the Hilton Gatwick Airport was several years ago, and during that time it appears that renovation work has been done on the interior, giving it a completely new look.
Restaurant
Opposite the reception is a bar under the tall atrium ceiling, and next to that is a new wagyu restaurant. There are many dining options at this hotel, including another restaurant on the ground floor.
Breakfast
The next morning, I was able to enjoy breakfast without worrying about the time; I usually don’t have time when taking early morning flights.
