How to Get to the Hotel from Heathrow Airport
The Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow is located about a 5-minute walk from Hatton Cross Station on the Piccadilly Line. It offers direct connections to Heathrow Airport Terminals 2–5 (Terminal 1 is now closed) as well as to central London, making it an exceptionally convenient base for both airport stays and city access.
Since the opening of the Elizabeth Line, many travellers tend to use it for getting into central London, but if you’re staying around Kensington or Knightsbridge, the Piccadilly Line remains the best option — it takes roughly 40 minutes from South Kensington to Hatton Cross without any transfers.
By the way, the new Piccadilly Line trains, originally planned for introduction in 2025, have been delayed until the latter half of 2026 due to technical adjustments.
How to Get to the Hotel from Heathrow Airport
The hotel is easily accessible from all Heathrow Airport terminals by Underground. In fact, since 2022, Hatton Cross has been included in the “Heathrow Free Travel Zone,” which previously covered only the journeys between terminals.
From Hatton Cross Station, it takes about five minutes to walk to the hotel. The route is flat and manageable even with large luggage, but be aware that the station itself has neither lifts nor escalators—something quite typical of the London Underground.
There is also a direct bus service (Hotel Hoppa) connecting the hotel with each terminal. Tickets can be purchased from the vending machine located by the hotel entrance or directly from the driver. The fare is £6.80 per person for a one-way trip. You can check the latest timetable from the link below.

Quiet and Comfortable – Newly Refurbished Guest Rooms
After checking in, I entered the room I was assigned. Both the lobby and the guest rooms still feel fresh and modern, as the hotel was refurbished a few years ago. Despite being located very close to the airport, the excellent soundproof windows make the room remarkably quiet. The bathroom area has also been renovated and looks clean and new.

The room itself isn’t particularly large, but for most travellers using it for an overnight stay before or after a flight, it’s perfectly adequate. There’s enough space to open your suitcase comfortably, which is all you really need for a short stay.

Restaurant and Bar with a Good Selection
For many travellers, the quality of the hotel’s restaurant or pub can be just as important as the room itself—especially if the following day marks the start of a holiday trip.
When I arrived at the hotel, it was already quite late, and the restaurant had closed for the night. However, looking at the menu, it offered familiar pub-style dishes such as fish and chips and burgers. You can check the menu from the link here.
If you’re not in the mood for a full meal, there’s also a bar, which is usually lively and busy with guests relaxing after their flights.

24-Hour Convenience Store Inside the Hotel
When travelling with large luggage, it’s often difficult to stop and shop along the way, and many people end up arriving at the hotel without having bought anything. Or perhaps you arrive late and have missed dinner—don’t worry. The hotel has a convenience store that’s open 24 hours a day, offering snacks, drinks, and other essentials whenever you need them.

Breakfast Before Departure
The restaurant, which was closed the previous evening, reopens in the morning as the breakfast venue. The buffet offers both a full English selection (scrambled eggs, bacon, grilled tomatoes, and more) and a continental spread with cold cuts and cheeses.
There’s also a good variety of breads, including bakery-style croissants and danishes, as well as classic British toast. Coffee, tea, and fruit juices such as orange juice are available too. Overall, it’s a satisfying breakfast for those who want to enjoy a proper meal before heading to the airport.

Useful Tips for Early Departures
One of the main reasons to stay at an airport hotel is having an early morning flight the next day. Sometimes you may need to head to the airport before breakfast service starts. In that case, it’s worth mentioning at check-in: “I have an early flight tomorrow and won’t be able to make it for breakfast.” If your stay includes breakfast, or if you are a Hilton Gold or Diamond member entitled to complimentary breakfast, the hotel may be able to prepare a takeaway breakfast box for you.

If you don’t need the breakfast because you plan to eat in the airport lounge instead, remember to check your MyWay Hotel Benefit options in the Hilton app before arrival. By choosing “Bonus Points” instead of breakfast, you can still receive additional Hilton Honors points—something Gold and Diamond members should definitely take advantage of.
