My favourite made-in-Portugal fashion brand ‘La Paz’｜ポルトガル発のお気に入りブランド「ラ・パス」

La Paz is my favourite clothing brand that I discovered a few years ago. They have a store in Lisbon.
Lisbon has many hills. I aimed for the direction of La Paz while walking around the old town. While I was walking along the street where the Bica funicular runs, I caught sight of the stopped cable car. Running in the direction of the shop, I decided to get on. From the cable car I could see the Tagus River, which has the same colour as Lisbon’s blue sky, seeming to float between the buildings.
The shop was located halfway up the slope, like many other shops in Lisbon. The atmosphere of the sea is captured just as I imagined, in a space that looks like an old warehouse or garage that has been renovated. There are no La Paz shops in London where you can see all their products in one place, so it was a great feeling to be able to try them on freely. Their apparel is always comfortable and fits perfectly. One of the things I like about the brand is that everything is made in Portugal. After returning to London, I have a strong desire to visit their main store in Porto, now on my list of new travel destinations to visit!
数年前に見つけて以来、お気に入りの洋服ブランド、ラ・パス。リスボンにも直営店があるということで行って来ました。
坂の多いリスボン。旧市街をぶらぶら歩きながらお店の方向を目指します。市電の走る通り沿いを暫く歩いていると、停車中のケーブルカー、ビカ線が目に入って来ました。これに乗ると、ちょうどラ・パスの方角に行けるということで乗り込んでみました。リスボンの青い空と同じ色合いのテージョ川が、建物の合間に少し浮かんで見えます。
お店は、やはり坂の街リスボン、他の多くのお店同様、坂の中腹にありました。古い倉庫か車庫を改装したような空間で、海沿いの雰囲気は想像していた通り。ロンドンにはこれほどの商品を一堂に見ることのできるお店がないので、自由に試着することができ感激です。着心地が良く、大きさも丁度ぴったり。全てがポルトガル製というのも魅力の一つです。ロンドンに戻ってからは、ポルトの本店にも是非訪れてみたいという思いが湧き上がり、ポルトは新たな旅の目的地に追加です。
