Review: Hilton Aberdeen TECA

We came to Aberdeen in north-east Scotland during the Easter holidays. The Azuma, which I used when going to Edinburgh, also runs to Aberdeen, but it would take over 8 hours, so I decided to fly. We stayed at the Hilton Aberdeen TECA near the airport.

The hotel looks huge as it is integrated with a large event venue, including a 15,000-capacity arena. The complex opened in 2019, so my first impression was that everything still feels new and very clean.

Having been more than 5 hours since I left home, I was tired when I arrived so quickly put my luggage in the room and headed to the lounge. Many hotels have a buffet style in the lounge, but unexpectedly it was table service at Aberdeen TECA. I ordered snacks along with a drink and it was brought straight away. With my fatigue subsided, we moved to the restaurant on the ground floor.

Dinner was fish and chips and hummus. The landing place is close, so I always feel that fish is fresher and tastier in Scotland.

Due to the higher latitude than London, the temperature was still low, but after the spring equinox and the change to daylight saving time, the days feel longer and longer in Scotland. I rented a car at the airport, so from the next day, I planned to go to Elgin for sightseeing.
