Review: Hilton Tokyo Odaiba (2023)

After booking my flight to Japan, I decided to make the Hilton Tokyo Odaiba my first stay in Tokyo as usual (here is the link of our 2022 stay).

Access

The limousine bus from Haneda Airport was back in operation, and we arrived at the hotel before check-in time. You can have a look a the timetable here.

If you arrive later after the bus service has ended, I recommend taking a taxi rather than trains, as the hotel isn’t too far from the airport. Note that taxi drivers usually take the highway, which adds a surcharge. You can ask to avoid it, but the ride will take longer and may end up costing more due to the extended distance.

Check-in and executive lounge

I decided to wait in the lounge until our room was ready. The biggest benefit of being a Diamond member is that you can freely enter the lounge. This is especially useful when you’re tired from a long trip or when you have a lot of luggage and it’s difficult to move.

Rainbow Bridge View Room

Tokyo in November has a much more pleasant climate than London at the same time. We were given an upgraded room with a view of Rainbow Bridge. As soon as I entered the room, I opened the window fully to soak up the crisp autumn air and sunlight. As I stepped out onto the balcony and gazed at Rainbow Bridge, I felt a sense of relief that I had arrived safely in Tokyo.

Spa and pool

In addition to lounge access, being a Diamond member also allowed us to use the hotel’s spa and pool at no additional charge. The outdoor hot bath makes you feel like you’ve come to an onsen while staying in Odaiba. After the sun goes down, you can enjoy the night view of Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Tower, and depending on the day, you can also see fireworks, so I would like to visit again someday.
